And the human being Jesus Christ,
in perfect obedience and openness to
this ecstatic God, forgets himself,
goes out beyond himself in love,
gives himself in a sort of imitation of
divine ecstasy.
And in this radical self-emptying,
Jesus does not lose himself;
rather, he becomes most fully himself,
finding his deepest identity in union
with God.
